Green Bay Packers 2010 Tight End Preview
Jermichael Finley
The Packers' third-round draft pick in the 2008 draft blossomed
in the second half of 2009 season to become yet another potential
fantasy-stud tight end. He averaged 5.4 catches for 59.4 yards in
the final seven games of the season as a starter. That would average
out to around a 86 catch, 950 yard season. Then he went on to catch
six passes for 159 yards in the Packers' Wild Card playoff loss
to the Arizona Cardinals.
At 6-5, 249 pounds, Finley is the perfect target in the end zone
and should become a favorite of Rodgers in 2010.
The Packers have a very good offense surrounding Finley, starting
with quarterback Aaron Rodgers who is one of the best young quarterbacks
in football. Compliment him with receivers Greg Jennings, Donald
Driver and James Jones and Finley should find plenty of open creases
within the defenses and make a ton of catches for the Packers and
lucky fantasy owners in 2010.
