Atlanta Falcons 2010 Wide Receiver Preview
Roddy White
Another consistent receiver who will not let you down, Roddy White,
has averaged 85 catches for 1,245 yards and eight touchdowns over
the last three seasons. Doubt the offensive problems the Falcons
came across in 2009 White proved he is a game-breaker by catching
a career high eleven touchdowns.
The Falcons have one of the best young quarterbacks in Matt Ryan.
He did take a small step backwards in 2009, mostly due to his injury
and teammates injuries, but he nevertheless remains one of the best
upcoming quarterbacks in the NFL which is exactly what it takes
to make a fantasy stud receiver.
Tony Gonzalez caught 83 passes over the middle which really helped
White be freed up on the sidelines for more big plays and thus more
touchdowns. It made up for the loss of looks that Gonzales took
away. That combined with a very solid Michael Jenkins on the other
side and a strong run game make Roddy White a Reggie Wayne like
safe pick in 2010.
