Oakland Raiders 2010 Tight End Preview
Zach Miller
The arrival of Jesse Campbell means that the Raider offense finally
will have the stability needed to make some of the Raider offensive
weapons draftable. And the number one receiver on the Raiders is
tight end Zach Miller.
Miller has shown his growth since being selected by the Raiders
in the second-round of the 2007 draft. As a rookie he caught 44
passes for 444 yards and followed that with 56 catches for 778 yards
in his second season. Hopefully the improvements continue, but to
be a stud Miller will need help.
An overall offensive improvement by the Raiders could catapult Miller
into the top-five. As said, Jesse Campbell will immediately improve
the offense, but the development of 2009 #1 pick (7th overall) receiver
Darrius Heyward-Bey would help Miller immensely. It would also help
the Raider woeful run game by loosening up the defense up front.
All of these improvements could mean more offensive opportunities
as well as more end zone looks for all Raider receivers including
tight end Zach Miller.
