Andre Iguodala

7. Andre Iguodala- Philadelphia
Andre will benefit from an upgraded supporting cast. He has a
true PG in Andre Miller and a legitimate low-post scorer in Elton
Brand. Now he is set for a breakout season and should break the
20PPG barrier. He also averaged over 2 steals per game last season
and set a new high in 3-point FGs made. All the ingredients are
set for him to make his first All-Star team and lead his team
into the playoffs, this goes for fantasy teams as well.
2008 Statistics:
19.9 Pts - 5.4 Reb - 4.8 Ast
2009 Projection:
20.3 Pts - 5.0 Reb - 5.2 Ast
8. Rudy Gay- Memphis
Memphis might not be a contender in the powerful Western conference
but Rudy Gay makes them a team you watch just to see one player.
He has ridiculous athleticism ala Darius Miles but he knows how
to play the game and can actually shoot the ball, unlike Miles.
Averages over a steal a game and around a block per game as well.
I doubt he will make the All-Star team due to a lack of spots
but he will have earned one in 2009.
2008 Statistics:
20.1 Pts - 6.1 Reb - 2.0 Ast
2009 Projection:
22.5 Pts - 7.1 Reb - 3.7 Ast

9. Kevin Durant- OK City
I was dissappointed by his assist and rebound totals but his
rookie season was everything I expected, 20PPG, low shooting percentages,
and turnovers. Now he needs to improve upon those things and help
his teammates get better because his team only goes as far as
he takes them. He is the only proven scorer on the teams full
of youngsters and expiring contracts.
2008 Statistics:
20.3 Pts - 4.4 Reb - 2.4 Ast
2009 Projection:
23.5 Pts - 5.5 Reb - 2.8 Ast
10. Luol Deng- Chicago
Deng needs to stay healthy and become more of a consistent scorer
for the Bulls. He will not be any sort of help when it comes to
3pt. shooting, (9/29 the last 2 seasons) but shoots a good FG%
and provides solid rebounding numbers. If they dont resign Ben
Gordon then Deng might be asked to carry an even greater amount
of the scoring load.
2008 Statistics:
17.0 Pts - 6.2 Reb - 2.5 Ast
2009 Projection:
19.1 Pts - 7.0 Reb - 2.9 Ast
